Venezia II Italian Tapestry
Venezia II is an Italian jacquard wall tapestry. The art comes from a painting of the Piazzetta San Marco by Canaletto (1697-1768). The Piazzetta (the little Piazza) is an extension of the Piazza San Marco towards the lagoon in its south east corner. Piazza San Marco often known in English as the St Mark's Square), is the principal public square of Venice, Italy. We get a view of the San Marco Campanile that towers above and gondoliers and other ships maneuver through the busy canal.
