The Starry Night European Tapestry
The Starry Night is a Belgian made jacquard woven wall tapestry. The artwork comes from the famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh, a Dutch post-impressionist, painted Starry Night while in an Asylum at Saint-Remy in 1889. The painting depicts his view from outside his sanatorium room window at night, but he had painted it from memory during the day. The original has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City since 1941.
