Le Point Deau Cheval French Tapestry
Le Point D'eau Cheval is a French jacquard woven impressionist tapestry inspired from the famous Tentures Des Indes, or Hangings of India, set of 8 tapestries designed during the 18th century and woven at Gobelins. The original artwork was designed by Albert Eckhout, a famous 17th century artist. This small extract depicts a horse in the exotic flora and fauna of the Dutch colonies.
