These recreations of todays' famous terracotta army depict the bravest and most loyal of soldiers from the guards of qin shi huang, the first emperor of China and creator of the qin dynasty. It is said qin, in order to have the same military power and protection in the after life, was buried with 1000's of these soldiers in 210–209 bce who for centuries to come protected the emperor buried, the tomb was discovered in the 1970's by a farmer.
